Growing up in the West of Scotland I was very fortunate to be surrounded by golf courses and had easy access to my local course where I became a member at the age of 11. From that moment on I fell in love with golf and since then I have been fortunate enough to play golf to a relatively high level and as a 17 year old I managed to become a member of the Scotland Boys’ Team. I have played tournament golf in Portugal, Australia and of course the United Kingdom, seeing some fantastic courses along the way.

At the age of 21 I turned Pro and in 2005 I graduated in Professional Golf Studies through the PGA of GB & I, with a Distinction in Golf Coaching. During this time I played competitively in many events and managed to win twice on the local Scottish PGA Tour.

Shortly after becoming qualified I realized that to make it as a Tour Pro was not realistic for me and I decided to take my career down a different path. I became Head Teaching Pro at Prestwick Driving Range (Prestwick Golf Club held the first Open Championship in 1860) before moving to the Carrick on Loch Lomond where I was Director of Golf from 2007 – 2010. My passion has always been for teaching and in 2010 I made the move to Thailand where I began teaching full time, most notably as Head Instructor for the Golf Channel, Thailand. From there I moved on to developing elite juniors and tournament players, introducing them to tournaments around the world. In addition to coaching, I started a tuition based, custom golf tour side to my business where I began taking students and their friends to different destinations around the world for bespoke holidays. Destinations we have been to so far are Dubai, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Portugal, Singapore, Indonesia, South Africa and Scotland.
